FAQ's

Here we answer the most common questions we get asked here at Best Option.

If you have questions about your current garage door issues, repair needs, or anything else involving your home or commercial property garage door. Remember we are here to help you. Browse below to see if we have answered any of those questions. If not, please don't hesitate to give us a call.

How quickly can you get here?

In most cases we can be out in a matter of hours. We understand how frustrating it can be for your garage door or opener to not be working. At Best Option Garage Doors, we make every attempt to prioritize your call and get your door system up and running ASAP.

What form of payment do we accept?

We take major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, AmEX, Discover), checks and cash.

If your garage door remote is not working, first check your batteries, they may need to be changed. When the wall button works but the remote does not you may need to reprogram your remote.

If you can open and close the door manually then your emergency release cord has been pulled. You need to engage the opener, follow the red cord up to the ceiling, push the clip back towards the back of the garage; you should hear it snap back into place. If this does not work, we can come out for a service call and get you back in working order.

The answer here is unfortunately no, but the great news is the new parts are warranted. Tracks and springs are not interchangeable; springs are weighted based on the weight of the new garage door.

Can I replace the garage door springs myself?

If a garage door spring breaks or you think it is broken, we ask that you do not “spring" into action to attempt to replace it yourself. Springs are under high tension & can cause injury or death if you are inexperienced on installing garage doors. There are two types of springs used with garage doors – extension springs are located above the tracks on both sides and torsion springs are located above the garage door opening.

The answer is yes for a variety of reasons. An insulated door provides energy efficiencies and reduces noise.

Hurricane doors otherwise known as 'Windload' doors are only required in Galveston, Chambers, Brazoria, and select areas of Harris county. We stock a variety of standard doors, but upgraded doors are special order.

Installing a garage door can be very dangerous. It's a complicated process and it should be done by a trained technician. A professional will adjust and lubricate the door upon installation. By trusting a company like Best Option, you receive warranties on parts, employed trained installers and a personal guarantee for the product and customer service.

We recommend you to get your garage door serviced at least once a year.

It really depends on the amount of damage done to the panel and which panel(s) is damaged. In this case we ask you either send a picture or call to make a service call appointment for a technician to come out and take a look at it.

It can take about 45 minutes to an hour to repair a garage door depending on what the issue is.
